If you are a girl between the ages of 10 and 19, you are part of the largest youth generation this world has ever seen! There are 1.2 billion young people ages 10-19 in the world today, and more than half are adolescent girls living in developing countries.

While girls in the United States are more educated, socially connected, and empowered than ever before, many girls in developing countries still struggle for the opportunity to go to school, see a doctor, or be included in their communities.

By joining Girl Up, a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, you can become a powerful force of change uniting girls to change the world!

Adolescents make up a large percentage of the population, especially in developing countries.
