The Girl Up campaign recognizes how American girls can be a powerful force for change and gives them the opportunity to channel their energy and enthusiasm to improve the lives of girls in developing countries. When your daughter supports Girl Up, donations are transformed into investments in proven UN programs that have the greatest outcomes for adolescent girls ages 10-14 in developing countries such as Ethiopia, Guatemala, Liberia and Malawi. Girl Up investments support girls’ education, access to comprehensive health services, safety, leadership training and opportunities, and appropriate data collection to be able to serve them better.

American girls’ involvement in the Girl Up campaign not only presents an opportunity for them to make a difference in the world — it provides the necessary leadership skills to become a bold advocate for issues they care about greatly.

The organizational and leadership skills developed by American girls who mobilize support for the campaign in their schools and communities also cultivate the necessary qualifications to become attractive candidates when they are ready to pursue employment and/or a higher education. Essentially, Girl Up gives girls a platform to grow and foster the characteristics of well-rounded citizens.

From policy to programs, people are talking about the potential power of girls. It is time to convert this talk to action, and to give U.S. girls the opportunity to take the lead. Girl Up supporters will acquire skills that set them apart; and in the process develop into leaders that make a difference in the lives of girls in developing countries and play a role in shaping our global future.

Join your daughter in raising awareness and funds to support the worlds hardest-to-reach girls. Give a "High Five" and donate now.
