You’re already plugged in. Now use your social media for social good. Girls around the world need your help and you can make a difference in ending child marriage by tweeting!
Girl Up has joined forces with Girls Not Brides to push for an increased financial and political commitment by Sec. Hillary Clinton and the U.S. State Department to end child marriage. We need action and investment from our government so we can reach vulnerable girls as quickly as possible.
Help us achieve this goal for the 10 million girls a year who are robbed of their childhood and kept from reaching their full potential. Let’s work together to flood the State Department’s twitter feed (@StateDept) to gain more support and resources for girls in developing countries!
To make this Take Action Tuesday even easier, we’ve written some sample tweets for you to share. You can be creative and write your own tweet if you’d like. Just be sure to include the #unite4girls hashtag!
• Join the movement and #unite4girls! Together, @StateDept we can #endchildmarriage
Continue to tweet your support until International Day of the Girl Child on Oct. 11!
