Happy Turkey Day!

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, many of us are getting excited about the time spent enjoying a delicious meal with our loved ones. However, as you gear up for your celebrations, take a second to think about a reality that many people across the world face: hunger.

Did you know that more than 60% of the world’s chronically hungry people are women? Chronic hunger often transcends generations, and 17 million children are born underweight because their mothers are malnourished - often leaving families trapped in a cycle of poverty & hunger.

This fall, you can host an Oxfam America Hunger Banquet to help raise awareness about global hunger in your own community. Through this interactive dinner, your peers will learn about how hunger impacts so many lives and will witness firsthand the dynamics of not having enough.

Take a moment to learn about global hunger and take action to help solve one of the world’s greatest problems.

How can you help end hunger in your own community? Donate to your local food bank today!
