On Thursday, August 4th, I attended a discussion on a teen's perspective on development. It was very interesting and brought different views on development that I had never thought of!

There were lots of specialists on development on the panel which made the conversation more insightful. Actress and UN Youth Champion Monique Coleman shared her experiences from her travels around the world during the United Nations Year of Youth. Nicole Goldin talked about the steps USAID are taking to support youth development.

The discussion was was also a great opportunity to raise awareness about Girl Up. I had a chance to tell people about Girl Up and tell people how they can get involved. A few panelists even talked about Girl Up!

I hope I can get more opportunities to educate people about Girl Up!
