Happy Thanksgiving from the Teen Advisors!

This Thanksgiving, our Teen Adviors share their thoughts on what they’re grateful for:

Archana

“Today I am grateful that I have the freedom to be who I want to be, and be accepted for who I am. As a student, a teammate, a leader, a sister, and a friend, my voice has rung true to my beliefs;  the respect and support I am instilled with gives me the confidence to let my voice ring loud and free. Today, I am grateful that I have the passion to fight for every girl whose voice goes unheard, for together we represent the future of our world: a world where everyone deserves to let their voices be heard.”

Sarah

“This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for the opportunity to pave my own route.  I am grateful that I have a say in my future, and that keeps my eyes open for opportunities to seize learning moments and find myself each day.  As I am exposed to different activities, people, and environments I find my true strengths and passions.”

Martha

“For as long as I can remember, my grandma and mother have engrained in me that an education is the best gift you can receive. I've also heard that with knowledge comes great power. I believe that channeling that power into something amazing such as helping girls in developing countries is what the American dream is all about. It's about creating opportunities and helping others prosper. I am quite blessed to be a part of the Girl Up campaign which helps foster a foundation for girls everywhere so they can blossom into their full potential. For that I will be eternally grateful.”
