Being a Girl Up Teen Advisor has been one of the best experiences of my life. Now, it’s time to pass the torch.
Girl Up is looking for 20 girls to serve on the 2014-2015 Teen Advisory Board. Do you know a girl who wants to change the world? Nominate her to be a Girl Up Teen Advisor today.
As a co-chair of this year's class of Teen Advisors, I’m proud to be part of a group of young women who is determined to raise awareness and take action on behalf of girls around world. We are motivated to speak up for girls in the hardest-to-reach places because we know we’re all connected.
Being a Teen Advisor gives you amazing opportunities. My class had the chance to share stories with indigenous Guatemalan girl-leaders, meet the inspiring Malala Yousafzai and listen to words of wisdom from Hillary Clinton. My personal highlight was meeting girls from all around the world during a celebration of the Girl Declaration at the United Nations.
Nominations for the 2014-2015 Girl Up Teen Advisor class are open until May 31, so nominate someone today. Let’s change the world together!
(Psst: Girls must be entering 7th-12th grades to be eligible for nomination. We ask that you do not nominate family members. Nominations close May 31, 2014 at 11:59 pm ET.)
