As a campaign of the United Nations Foundation, Girl Up has had incredible opportunities. Partnering with 10x10 and their feature film, Girl Rising, is one of my personal favorites.
This year, Girl Up selected 16 of the country’s most inspiring young leaders to represent the campaign and live up to its motto of being both “for girls” AND “by girls.” Each class of Teen Advisors not only represents Girl Up, but also the diversity of girls in the United States.
Last Friday, Melissa and I visited Viacom to engage in Viacommunity Day. While the initiative involved thousands of employees from all different networks, we were lucky enough to have eight great representatives hailing from BET, Comedy Central, MTV and Viacom Corporate.
