Unite for Girls Tour: Denver

Fall 2010

In December, Girl Up pulled out our hiking boots and geared up for a fun-filled weekend in Denver, Colorado. Partner Girls Athletic Leadership School (GALS) co-hosted a reception for parents, teachers, and girls, and we heard from teen Gifty Afrifa and former WNBA star and ESPN contributor Abby Waner about raising awareness about issues adolescent girls face around the world.

Our Pep Rally was co-hosted by founding partner Girls, Inc.! Hundreds of boys and girls came to “travel the world” while learning about Girl Up programs through activities led by the Colorado University’s Women’s Volleyball team.

Be sure to look for our Unite for Girls Tour events in your city in 2011! Until then, check out our blogs, photos, and videos below from our Unite for Girls Denver stop!
