Mission: To enable and ensure the Girl Up campaign lives out its motto of being both “for girls” AND “by girls.”

Objective: To help make Girl Up an engaging, effective, and powerful campaign. Our Teen Advisors share their ideas and feedback on programs, services, and materials specifically designed for other teens and tweens.

Our Teen Advisors are adolescent girls living in the United States who:

• Have the idealism and energy to look beyond barriers and see new ways of addressing global challenges
• Give, get involved, and speak up: they mobilize their friends, schools, and communities in the United States to take action
• Make their voices heard on best ways to improve the lives of girls in developing countries by raising awareness and funds
• Develop skills and knowledge with a diverse group of peers and Girl Up staff while becoming invested global citizens of our world
• Roll up their sleeves each month for critical thinking, good fun, new friends, and high profile leadership

Our Teen Advisors help shape the campaign as they:

• Participate in monthly meetings with other Teen Advisors and the Girl Up staff
• Serve as Girl Up spokespersons at events, meetings, and conferences throughout the United States Lead Girl Up events, fundraisers and service-learning projects in their local communities
• Share feedback on Girl Up materials, mobilization tools, and creative assets Contribute to our blog, comment on Facebook, and engage with social media outlets
• Become “High Five” ambassadors while sharing Girl Up’s message and call-to-action
