My name is Remy Arthur. I am 14 and currently living in Saratoga Springs, NY

I am originally from Burlingame, California. I would to say that I am also from Colorado and Paris, but perhaps that is just wishful thinking! :)

I am going to Saratoga Springs High School. I like participating on my school's student council.  I eagerly read about three books a week. I actually LIKE school, especially social studies and art.

I have proudly received various academic awards and honestly just love learning. I am passionate about skiing, love to cook, and take ballet class several times a week. I am enjoying being a writer/teen advisor for an online magazine, where I write about community service.

I am a founding member of Thinkpeace Workshop, a camp and club for girls (and hopefully soon boys) where we learn about girls in other countries, how to communicate with others, and about ourselves. 

I often have a camera in my hands, photographing whenever I can, especially close ups of flowers.

I am currently working on my own business called Bee the Change. Bee the Change are photo cards that I sell to raise money for the Heifer International Honeybee Gift Program.

This gift gives honeybees to families from Madagascar to Uganda to help them earn a living and provide for the family. I hope that the families who receive the bees send their daughters to school.

I plan to raise more awareness in my community for issues affecting girls in developing countries. I want girls to feel safe, educated, healthy, wanted and be able to lead other girls around the world!

I am so excited to be a Girl Up Teen Advisor because it will open new doors to me and will allow me to open doors to girls in other countries!
