I’m Priyanka Jain, a senior at University Prep in Seattle, Washington.

I recently started iCAREweCARE (www.icarewecare.org), a student-run non-profit that leverages the power of social media for social good.

iCAREweCARE helps high school and college students connect with friends who CARE about the same causes, provides them with meaningful opportunities in their local community, and makes social change a social effort.

I am also a strong believer in women’s education. I started the Women’s initiative at QuestBridge to connect bright, low-income girls to educational opportunities at the nation’s leading colleges.

I also started the high school chapter of Circle of Women, a student-run organization building schools for girls in developing countries.

Recently, I have had the opportunity to inspire my generation to get involved in making a difference. I spoke at the Adventures of the Mind conference in June alongside Nobel Laureates and successful entrepreneurs to inspire 150 talented high school students.

In the fall, I will be a youth speaker at the Global Women’s Forum in Deuville, France to come up with solutions for the disparity facing women in the global market.

Last summer, I led a workshop on student philanthropy at the iEARN global summit for over 60 students from almost 40 countries. I was also a high school ambassador at the Singularity University Graduate Studies Program.

I am currently a member of my school’s National Honor Society, the varsity tennis team, Chinese Honor Society, editor of the nationally recognized school newspaper, as well as an award winning attorney on the district champion mock trial team.

I served as youth board member for grant making at the Seattle Foundation. I am also humbled to be recognized as one of the top 100 women entrepreneurs by Smart Girls’ Way!

I am extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Girl Up to help my peers channel our energy as a force to change the lives of girls all around the world!
