Over MLK weekend in January 2011, we welcomed all 17 of our Teen Advisors to Washington, DC, for a jam-packed schedule of events. The girls were the stars — participating as kiosk leaders at our pep rally, interviewing with media, posing for our exclusive teen advisor photo shoot, asking Champion Nigel Barker thoughtful questions about his role in the campaign, and setting goals for what they want to accomplish in the next year. Each of our girls made her own wonderfully unique impression on her peers, and left DC recommitted to sharing Girl Up with her community!
